Guidelines for Touch for Health Practical Assessment
Under the Registered TFH Assessor’s supervision, the student must show reasonable confidence and proficiency in the following and complete the 2 day assessment class facilitated by the Certified IKC Assessor.
Demonstration and basic explanation of muscle monitoring including:
* permission to test
* position of muscle in the body
* origin and insertion
* test position
* range of motion
* responsibility of tester and teste
* who is in charge
* pressure used, and length of time of test
Demonstration of clearing an indicator muscle
Demonstration of pre-checks and balancing methods, if necessary
Goal Setting (and/or subjective assessment)
14 or 28 muscle balancing (standing)
Balancing methods used
Getting agreement from the person of a favorable outcome
The student must also demonstrate proficiency in any of the techniques in the TFH Syllabus, using basic background information where necessary.
The recommended time frame for completing both the written and practical portions should not exceed “2” hours. Reference materials are to be used whenever desired.
At least one of the following workbooks must be completed in full and submitted to the assessor no less than 2 weeks prior to the 2 day assessment process as scheduled by the approved assessor.
